If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to take your dogs on a walk through Jurassic Park, minus the drama and chaos, then Dinosaur World in Cave City, Kentucky is the perfect spot. It’s a place where humans and hounds of all ages can enjoy some prehistoric fun.
The trail through Dinosaur World is flat, shady, and easy to navigate, even for older pups. Along the way, we encountered dozens of life-sized dinosaur statues. Some were familiar, and T-Rex got a big reaction from everyone. Others were so obscure that even we were left scratching our heads. I’m no paleontologist, but I found myself muttering “What is that thing?” more often than expected. Fortunately, there were placards identifying the dinosaurs and providing background on them.
The park is super dog-friendly: leashed pups are allowed throughout, and there are plenty of shady breaks along the trail. They can even stroll through the gift shop and pick out a toy to take home.
